Terms of Service

These terms describe the deal between you and BeamMe. We've kept them short and plain. If anything here is unclear, email hello@beamme.co and we'll explain.

Who we are, who you are

BeamMe is operated by BeamMe LLC, a limited liability company established in the State of Maryland, United States. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't create an account.

You need to be at least 18 years old to use BeamMe.

BeamMe is in beta

We are an early-stage product. Things will sometimes break. Features will change. We'll occasionally have downtime. We will do our best to communicate clearly when this happens, and to recover anything that gets lost.

During beta, the service is provided free of charge. We will give you advance notice — at least thirty days — before introducing paid tiers, and you'll always be able to export your data and leave without paying.

Your account

You are responsible for the email address and credentials you sign up with. Please give us accurate information. Don't share your account with anyone else; BeamMe is a personal record of how you work, and it only works if it stays that way.

If you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else, email hello@beamme.co and we'll help you secure it.

Your content is yours

Everything you put into BeamMe — every experience, every CV, every voice recording, every revision — belongs to you. You keep all rights to it.

To run the service, you give us a limited license to store your content, process it with AI models (Anthropic Claude and OpenAI Whisper, as described in our Privacy Policy), display it back to you, and produce the synthesis, patterns, posts, briefs, and resumes you ask for. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.

We do not sell your content. We do not use it as training data for any AI model, ours or anyone else's. We do not share it with third parties beyond what is required to provide the service.

What we ask of you

When you use BeamMe, please:

• Don't upload illegal content, or content you don't have the right to share.
• Don't try to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, or overwhelm the service.
• Don't use BeamMe to harass, defame, or otherwise harm others.
• Don't try to extract content about other users or interfere with their accounts.

If you do, we may suspend or close your account. We will let you export your data first, unless doing so would prolong harm to someone else.

The AI-generated parts

BeamMe produces AI-derived content — synthesis, patterns, Work Signatures, posts, briefs, resumes — built from what you've given us. This content is grounded in your own evidence, but AI systems are not perfect. BeamMe may occasionally produce something inaccurate, off-tone, or in poor judgment.

You are the editor of your own record. Nothing BeamMe generates is published or shared anywhere without you explicitly choosing to do so. We strongly recommend reviewing every AI-generated artifact before you use it in a high-stakes context (a job application, a performance review, a public post).

Leaving BeamMe

You can close your account at any time, from inside the product or by emailing hello@beamme.co. Before you close it, you can export everything you've given us as a JSON file. We will delete your content within thirty days of account closure, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may close or suspend your account for cause — for example, if you violate these terms, or if BeamMe shuts down. We will give you as much advance notice as we reasonably can, and we will give you a way to export your data.

What we don't promise

BeamMe is provided "as is," with no warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, that it will be free of bugs, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose. To the extent allowed by law, we exclude all implied warranties.

This is the practical reality of beta software. We will work hard to be honest about what's working and what isn't, and to fix things quickly when they break.

Limit of our liability

To the extent allowed by law, BeamMe LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to either (a) the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of BeamMe will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these terms

We will update these terms when material things change about how the service works, how we charge for it, or what we ask of you. For meaningful changes we will also email you. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision. Continuing to use BeamMe after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you don't, you can close your account.
